Shot selection

We have chosen several shots based on our knowledge of zombie comedy movies. We have used a combination of close ups, and high and low angled shots.
Our opening shot is a extreme close up of our main characters eyes. This shot comes immediately after a black screen with heavy breathing. The immediate reaction, with some motion blur, tells the audience that this character is not in a normal state of mind. We also use a handheld camera close up of our character walking down the stairs to further emphasize this thought. Also their is a large use of close ups in horror/ zombie comedy. We have further mirrored this shot when introduced to the zombie face to face for the first time. This is similar to a shot in "Shaun of the Dead" when Shaun is first confronted face to face with a zombie.
We have also used several high and low angled shots, to add another element to our film that coheres with the zombie movie conventions.
